Organic Certification

Each step in the life of Gaviña's Organic Coffees is Certified 100% Organic.
  • The organic certification process begins with a rigorous inspection of the plantation, from the cultivation of the earth to the nurturing of the coffee trees, and to the ripening of the berries themselves. A farm must practice organic farming for 3 years before it can be certified.

  • This certification oversees the hulling of the berries, even the processing, importing, roasting, and packaging of the beans, and continues until the rich flavor of organic coffee reaches your home.

  • For Gaviņa's coffees to be certified 100% Organic, the process must be continually overseen and documented by a recognized, accredited, certifying agent. Gaviņa's 100% Organic Coffees are certified by Stellar Certification Services.

  • The Gaviņa family is a founding member of the Specialty Coffee Association of America. Only a small selection of the world's coffee beans qualifies as Specialty Coffee. They must be the highest quality beans, carefully grown in ideal coffee-producing climates, and roasted to their greatest flavor potential. Our family, first as growers and now as roasters, is fully committed to these high standards.
