The organic certification process begins with a rigorous inspection of the plantation, from the cultivation of the earth to the nurturing of the coffee trees, and to the ripening of the berries themselves.
A farm must practice organic farming for 3 years before it can be certified.
This certification oversees the hulling of the berries, even the processing, importing, roasting, and packaging of the beans, and continues until the rich flavor of organic coffee reaches your home.
For Gaviņa's coffees to be certified 100% Organic, the process must be continually overseen and documented by a recognized, accredited, certifying agent. Gaviņa's 100% Organic Coffees are certified by Stellar Certification Services.
The Gaviņa family is a founding member of the Specialty Coffee Association of America. Only a small selection of the world's coffee beans qualifies as Specialty Coffee.
